> More About Education

Increasingly local authorities are rationalising their Education and Young People’s Systems (EYPS) in efforts to streamline the large number of systems in use across the service. With more and more collaborative working across partner agencies, professionals need access to accurate and timely information to gain a holistic view of a child’s record.

Kent County Council awarded the contract to Servelec to deliver its Admissions, Special Educational Needs, Early Years and Pupil Support Services as part of the EYPS project. Synergy offers a portal based approach that engages with schools and parents, which is vital in helping to reduce administration time, improve user experience and engagement. The contract is for five years with the option to extend for a further two years.

Alan Stubbs, Chief Executive Officer at Servelec, said:

“We are delighted to be awarded the Education and Young People’s Systems Refresh contract by Kent County Council. Synergy is well renowned for being an intuitive system that provides high user experience and considerable return on investment for the authority. The feedback we received reinforces the strengths of the Synergy product suite. We look forward to working with Kent County Council to develop a more integrated holistic view so the council can provide targeted support to children, young people and their families.”
