Over 2000 LPFT mental health and community practitioners, from medics, psychiatric nurses to pharmacists and social workers, can now securely and safely access the demographics, referrals and community and inpatient records of their 202,080 patient base. Rio information will be accessible by workers on site or operating remotely.
LPFT worked with Servelec to design and configure the best digital solution to replace the previous Silverlink Mental Health EPR system. Servelec responded to LPFT’s requirements based on its overall digital strategy;
- A system that provides a user friendly interface for staff that was intuitive and would lead to less time away from the patient
- A system that has the capability to work offline due to the rurality of the county
- A system that can quickly and easily link to the data archive of data not formally migrated into the Rio system
- A system to support patient consent models to ensure safety and security of patient data
- A system that is a true enabler of supporting care, which is user friendly for all, particularly the operational teams
- A system that supports the mandatory, statutory and local reporting requirements and one that meets compliancy in Mental Health Act legislation, Information Governance, and Information Security
The LPFT configuration team, with support from Servelec, designed the Rio configuration. Servelec provided data migration tools to support the LPFT data analysts to extract core data from the Silverlink Mental Health EPR system. The project to deliver a live system was completed in just six months, by the joint team of Servelec consultants and LPFT’s project team.
