Cornwall Council goes live with Servelec’s education management system Synergy in just four weeks

Servelec, a leading provider of digital care software, today announces that Cornwall Council has gone live with the Admissions module of Synergy, its industry-leading education management system, after a four-week implementation process.

In August, the Council selected Synergy, Servelec’s modular-based suite of solutions, for its education and child services. Synergy gives local authorities a holistic overview of all its interactions with children, young people and families. It also reduces the administrative burden and removes duplication of data entry, giving local authorities more time to focus on improving outcomes as well as helping to make significant financial savings.

Cornwall Council began implementing the full suite of Synergy modules in early August, and on 1st September, went live with the School Admissions Management module.

Synergy’s Admissions solution manages the admissions, transfers and appeals processes across all schools and key stages from nursery to secondary, along with transfers and in-year admissions. It enables parents to apply for school places online, removing the need for local authorities and schools to enter data manually. Synergy records details of school capacities, applications for places, decisions and automatic allocations based on specified criteria against admissions policies.

An existing Servelec customer, Cornwall Council already uses Mosaic, Servelec’s digital social care case management system, and Core+, Servelec’s fully web-based, single database solution for Integrated Youth Support.

Synergy will integrate with these existing systems to provide the insight needed to make key decisions and secure better outcomes for young people and families in Cornwall.

The full Synergy suite is expected to be implemented by the end of March 2021.
