Servelec set to help Scotland excel at digital health and care

Servelec has been named as a supplier on the Scotland Excel social care framework. Its social care case management system, Mosaic, will support local authorities across Scotland to deliver in line with Scottish Government’s Digital Health and Care Strategy.

The Scotland Excel social care framework launched on 15 February 2021. As a named supplier, Servelec will provide software and related services to support local authorities to configure, install and commission systems, plus ongoing support and maintenance.

Through the framework, councils in Scotland can buy software solutions which give their social care teams the ability to access, update and share information on cases. Improved access to information across health and social care helps social workers deliver better, person-centred care.

Mosaic includes the functionality to provide local authorities with case management for adults, children’s, criminal justice and finance. In joining the framework, Servelec extends its commitment to accelerate the development of open systems, data sharing and interoperability – which enables services to be delivered efficiently and respond more flexibly to people’s needs. Its integrated software will also help to enhance the digital capabilities of health and social care professionals involved in the delivery of care.

Paul Clark, Servelec’s Business Development Manager for Scotland, comments: “As a former social worker and manager in local government, I understand the challenges that frontline workers and management teams face, and I’ve experienced first-hand how technology can support best practice, create a better working environment and improve outcomes. It’s an exciting time to work alongside Scottish local authorities as they shape their future and that of their citizens through joined-up digital health and care technology.”

David McKinney, Managing Director for Local Government at Servelec, adds: “Our software is designed to support Scotland’s care services in helping people to live healthier, more fulfilling lives. We’re looking forward to working with more councils across Scotland, to make sure social workers have the right tools to provide efficient person-centred care to those who need it most.”

Servelec’s Mosaic social care case management system is already well established with several local authorities in Scotland, including Dundee, Dumfries & Galloway, East Lothian, Midlothian and Scottish Borders, all having recently renewed their contracts. Its Rio platform also underpins Scotland’s National Child Health Record, with implementation currently underway – creating even more opportunity for deeper integration of health and social care across the country.
