Servelec’s Mosaic case management system selected to underpin South Gloucestershire Council’s work to support citizens

Leading provider of digital care software, Servelec, today announces it will provide adult and finance social care solution, Mosaic, to South Gloucestershire Council. This builds on the relationship between Servelec and the authority, which already uses Mosaic for its children’s social care case management. South Gloucestershire is now set to benefit from having a full picture of all those in need of support – helping to secure better outcomes for people across the region.

Mosaic will help simplify the sharing of best practice by social workers at South Gloucestershire Council, and assist with the recording and monitoring of pathways to better manage the community’s social care needs – fully integrated with finance. Frontline staff will have a clearer digital picture of the care pathways available to people and faster, more secure communication at their disposal via Mosaic’s collaborative platform.

The Council selected Mosaic following an in-depth evaluation process. Mosaic meets the focus areas of the Council, including case management scenarios around self-directed support and packages of care; supporting standards for safeguarding; and finance and commissioning capabilities. A single-user interface and the quality of the overall user experience across case management and finance were central to the Council’s specification, in addition to specific requirements around interoperability to allow for integration with the shared care record.

By using one single solution across adults, children’s and finance for social care, the Council and its citizens stand to gain substantial benefits. With a fully integrated solution in place, social workers will have a single view of each person on their caseload, supporting informed decision making and the streamlined transition of cases from child to adult. Having the latest, accurate information in one place helps inform better decision making, planning and budgeting. The Council will also be able to extend engagement with service users and other case relevant professionals through the Mosaic Portal – increasing choice and control and promoting independence.

Mosaic’s Customer-Led Configuration (CLC) provides South Gloucestershire with a solid foundation on which to reflect its local working practices. A standard product offering, the CLC has been developed in partnership with Servelec’s local authority customers, ensuring it fully addresses all core requirements and statutory obligations. Through the CLC and local configuration supported by the platform, Mosaic will enable social workers and outreach teams to integrate forms and reference the reports and data which are required to meet the statutory and legislative requirement.

Migration of data from the current system will take place in the coming months. Once Mosaic children’s, adults and finance is in place providing the Council with a clear view of those in its care, it will also be well positioned to access Servelec’s broader suite of interoperable products in the future - allowing for greater information sharing across not just social care but youth services, healthcare and education.

James Bouch, Sales Director at Servelec, commented: “As practice across health, education, youth services and social care becomes increasingly interdependent, local authorities need interoperable solutions which help to facilitate better outcomes for their citizens. We’re delighted that with Mosaic for Children’s Services already in place, South Gloucestershire Council has decided to move adults case management and finance to Mosaic. We designed Mosaic to support social workers to focus on the people they are working with and their outcomes. The council’s vision for greater integration to facilitate that is in perfect alignment with ours, and we look forward to working together to deliver better digital care.”
