Servelec announces digital healthcare advisory roles for Sir Jonathan Michael and Neil Taylor

Servelec, a leading provider of digital care software, has appointed MDT Health, the healthcare advisors as consultants to enable market growth. Led by industry leaders Sir Jonathan Michael and Neil Taylor, MDT Health will be working with Servelec’s healthcare team to consult on the strategic development of technology, which brings clinicians and patients together for better digital care.

Working closely with the existing Servelec leadership team, including new CEO Ian Crichton, MDT Health will further strengthen and develop the company’s digital transformation strategy, ensuring excellent customer service delivery to mental health, community health and acute healthcare customers.

Sir Jonathan Michael and Neil Taylor will work with the Servelec team to maintain momentum on sustained research and development investment in interoperable systems across the digital healthcare landscape. Particular focus will be given to Rio, Servelec’s market-leading EPR solution for the mental health and community sector and Flow, the bed management solution for acute and secondary care customers across the NHS.

Sir Jonathan Michael is an experienced physician in the NHS who, after a 20-year clinical career, became Chief Executive of the University Hospital Birmingham in 1995. In 2000 he was appointed Chief Executive of Guy's and St Thomas' Hospitals in London. In 2007 he joined BT to help develop the company's Healthcare IT business in the UK and internationally. In 2010 he returned to work in the NHS as CEO of Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, a position that he held until Oct 2015.
